Cap'n Chris - Eco Boat tours in Karimunjawa
Cap'n Chris has his own boat that has been through a complete refurbishment in 2021 and passes all European safety requirements ensuring your trip is safe, quiet and environmentally friendly. His boat is livaboard and has 8 beautiful cabins each with sea hammocks, a mix of double and twin bed arrangements, a sundeck, dining area and chillout lounge.
Cap'n Chris tours around the near perfect archipelego of islands during the day and at night, the boat will moor up in the protected lagoon in front of Tukiek Beach to take advantage of the cool sea breaze away from mosquitoes. Access to the private Tukiek Beach Club is only available by boat and access is exculsive to Cap'n Chris Tours.
Tours are 1 day + 1 night and led by local experienced staff. Free courtesy Hotel collection and drop off. There are a maximum of 16 guests allowed on the boat making this tour very exclusive. Please pack lightly and bring a towel. Tours are weather dependent.

Marine Conservation
Cap'n Chris involves and cares for Karimun community. This includes conservation and replanting of live coral and mangrove trees. More recently Cap'n Chris has been buying and distributing emergency food supplies and PPE masks during the corona virus pandemic.
Turtle Hatching
Green turtles nest along the shorelines of Menjangan Besar and during certain times of the year you may be lucky enough to see these turtles hatching. Throughout the year you may be privaleged enough to see adult turtles swimming in the shallow waters surrounding the island, whale sharks and dolphins.

Cap'n Chris was born in Karimunjawa and has sailed all of his life. With a passion for the environment, Chris has been captaining 'green' tours around the islands for over a decade.
With in depth local knowledge, Chris can guide you around coral reefs for swimming and diving, hidden paradise beaches for relaxing and if you are lucky, see turtles swimming in the waters, baby turtles hatching and whale sharks passing through.
